The School of the Prophets
This is a college of intercession that leads to the voice of one calling out in the wilderness and refuses to compromise the command of the scriptures, "My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations." Never was a great voice forged out of the books of the archives of men, but rather out of the wrestling of the spirit and soul in prayer and fasting. There is an answer to every socio-political conflict and dilemma, but the answer will never be found in the halls of Roman accomplishment, Babylonian coexistence, Medio-Persian conflict, or Egyptian mysticism. Rather the answer is found around the Ancient of Days, the uncreated one, Yahweh, and there is only one way beyond the veil that was torn, and that is through the blood that was shed. This is our uncompromising commitment to the Lamb that was slain, who is worthy of all of our mind, body, soul, and strength. No considerate man would consider this too much to give someone who gave everything for us.
If we spend all of our days at the feet of the one we love and never get a voice, then our lives of simple devotion to him would still speak a louder and greater message than our grandeur of religious rhetoric and routine, our programs and conferences. We as a school will determine to major on the majors, even if the immediate point of view may look like we have neglected the minors, we are convinced if we will take care of loving God the natural product will be to overflow on a lost and dying world. (Seek first the kingdom, Mary and Martha).
This school is not for those who are looking for an irrelevant social club, but rather a covenantal company whose mission is not to wear the fine garments of professional religion, but rather the camel's hair of self-denial. For this generation has no shortage of those who are willing to sell their badge of honor for the compromise of comfort, apathy, and political correctness. However this generation has no need or desire for half-hearted Christians who are feasting and playing rather than fasting and praying. This generation is looking for a voice. (John the Baptist was a voice)
We are entirely dead to ourselves, and alive to God. We see things differently (not of this world, Jesus at the offering). Our entire essence of living flows out of the desire to glorify His name. We are modern day monks, mystics, and priests preparing a people to be ready for the Lord's return. From this place of love and adoration, abounding in Faith through His grace (of which is our absolute necessity), we will be a voice not of words but of power.
Open your mouth for the speechless, in the cause of all who are appointed to die. Open your mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy. (Proverbs 31:8-9)
Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect. (Matthew 5:48) Living out the sermon on the mount.
