Kehilat HaCarmel

Kehilat HaCarmel is a Messianic congregation that began in 1991 . Our earliest meetings were held in downtown Haifa at House of Victory. We soon moved up to a rented meeting room in a guest house in a village on top of Mount Carmel. As the congregation grew in number, we were offered an adjacent piece of property that was not being used by the owners. Our own community and many friends helped to build our worship center which was dedicated in 1998.

As an Israeli congregation, we express our faith in the Messiah Yeshua through the richness of our heritage in the observance of the biblical festivals and the Shabbat. Each Saturday, we come together to worship and pray as a congregational family. As a community based on reconciliation, we embrace the “one new man” of Ephesians 2, and invite people from all nations to worship with us. MORE INFORMATION CLICK HERE

Or HaCarmel

Located on top of Mount Carmel, the Or HaCarmel ("Light of Carmel") Ministry Center is a residential community established upon faith in God’s word and the power of His Spirit to transform lives. The goal of the center is to be a demonstration of God’s love to the people of Israel and to impart an understanding of His sovereign purposes to the nations. "I will also make You a light of the nations so that My salvation may reach to the end of the earth" (Is. 49:6).

At Or HaCarmel, our staff is dedicated to building up the community and to serving others as they live and grow together. Since its beginning in 2002, the center has become a place for the development and launching of new projects and areas of service to those in need. Among them are the Dor Elisha (Elisha Generation) Internship—a residential mentoring program for young men, a shelter for women and children in crisis situations, and a club that offers English instruction and character-building activities to young people in the surrounding villages.

Beit Yedidia

Beit Yedidia ("House of God's friend") is located in Central Carmel, right in the heart of the city of Haifa. Because of its convenient location it functions as a community center for Kehilat HaCarmel, as well as serving other congregations, both Hebrew and Arabic speaking. Beit Yedidia is alive with activity all through the week, as the home of our mid-week congregational prayer meetings, youth meetings, Bible studies, discipleship classes, Messianic dance classes, and Hebrew-language evening meetings.

House of Victory

House of Victory ("Beit Nitzachon" in Hebrew), located in the city of Haifa on Mount Carmel, is Israel's first Bible-based rehabilitation center. Founded by David and Karen Davis in 1991 after the first Gulf War, the vision for this ministry is the "one new man" in Messiah of Ephesians 2:14-16. Many Jews and Arabs have been delivered from life-controlling problems and have found new life through the word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit. Marriages and families have been restored.

He Was Wounded for Our Transgressions

(Isaiah 52:13-53:12)

13 Behold, my servant shall act wisely; he shall be high and lifted up, and shall be exalted.
14 As many were astonished at you— his appearance was so marred, beyond human semblance,
and his form beyond that of the children of mankind—
15 so shall he sprinkle many nations; kings shall shut their mouths because of him;
for that which has not been told them they see, and that which they have not heard they understand.

1 Who has believed what they heard from us? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?
2 For he grew up before him like a young plant, and like a root out of dry ground;
he had no form or majesty that we should look at him, and no beauty that we should desire him.
3 He was despised and rejected by men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief;
and as one from whom men hide their faces, he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

4 Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows;
yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted.
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities;
upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his stripes we are healed.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way;
and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth;
like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent,
so he opened not his mouth.
8 By oppression and judgment he was taken away; and as for his generation, who considered
that he was cut off out of the land of the living, stricken for the transgression of my people?
9 And they made his grave with the wicked and with a rich man in his death,
although he had done no violence, and there was no deceit in his mouth.

10 Yet it was the will of the Lord to crush him; he has put him to grief;
when his soul makes an offering for sin, he shall see his offspring; he shall prolong his days;
the will of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.
11 Out of the anguish of his soul he shall see and be satisfied;
by his knowledge shall the righteous one, my servant, make many to be accounted righteous,
and he shall bear their iniquities.
12 Therefore I will divide him a portion with the many, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong,
because he poured out his soul to death and was numbered with the transgressors;
yet he bore the sin of many, and makes intercession for the transgressors.
